LAST HURRAH OF SUMMER

Honestly, I am not really into travelling before. I loved the feeling of familiarity and comfort being at home. I’d rather spend my vacation watching television and do the chores ( believe it or not ) but thaaaaat was so long ago. It’s not like I was a total ‘loner’ type, let’s just say I enjoyed doing things alone. You know, without minding what your companion would say or do. Just no hassle.

Everything has changed when I started working in the city. Specially that I work in hospitality industry. Being moved in the city saved me from being nearly socially impaired. Got a total make over tho ( mentally ). Still, I prefer to keep some things in my life private, specially the ones I really love. I started communicating, expressing my self and even being the one who breaks the ice with someone I just met. I just learned and realized a lot. Up until now I’m still trying to broader my mind when it comes to socializing.

When I discovered another thing that makes me happy I never had a second thought to stop it - Travelling is just the best way to find your inner peace and at the same time meeting different individuals.

Lucky me, I live where beautiful islands can be found. Iloilo and Guimaras just have my heart. Let me share my recent trip.

COLMENARES MT. BEACH RESORT in Jordan, Guimaras.

Colmenares is the nearest resort you can visit in Guimaras, just 5 minute-drive away from Jordan wharf. The resort offers 3 swimming pools but since they are under re-construction, only the main pool is usable. They also have fan and air-conditioned rooms. Feel free to scroll down to see their rates.

The heat is still on! though, we can’t change the fact that rainy season is nearly coming or should I say already came? *sigh*

Who cares? if you love the fun in the beach and the sunny season then bring it all year round. You can still enjoy the beauty of nature in between rainy and not-so-sunny weather :D

Last week was totally a hectic week. Never had a chance to post this after our trip. Finally got spare time now to update.

Jennefer (my bestfriend) and I went to IGBARAS HIGH MOUNTAIN VIEW RESORT in Igbaras, Iloilo. I’ve seen tons of beautiful pictures of the resort from my friends in Facebook and got really curious and excited to check out the place. Luckily, my Parents’ house is just 15-minute drive only to the resort. Never disappointed when we arrived and saw the new pride of Igbaras with our own eyes. The photos taken by truly yours will speak for us.

Look at those! Looks like we’ve been into 5-star hotel resort in the other country. I really must say that Iloilo is one of the best Cities in the Philippines when it comes to beautiful places and rich culture.

I think I’m growing this habit of travelling whenever I’m stressed or when I had a bad day. Lately, I’ve been travelling a lot and the enthusiasm deep down in me hunts for more. There are times that I really just want to go somewhere or even if it leads me nowhere. That certain feeling that stirs in me when I don’t know where to go. The excitement is just priceless! Feels like I’m a lost spirit looking for my own flesh. Yay that’s kinda weird. Okay, enough with the weird things LOL.

So my recent trip was quite different from my other trips because I really had no plan at all that day. I got home at 3 pm already from work and the idea just popped out from somewhere so I quickly prepared my self for some loner-fun trip haha. The sky was a bit dark that day but luckily after an hour the sun shined again hehe. The next happenings were unforgettable. I was a total stranger and that’s pretty cool to know because I can do whatever I want. Like a real tourist. You know, being crazy is hard to resist sometimes bwahaha.

All in all the place was fine :)

TOUCH OF SUMMER

This month is probably the busiest of all months for me but nevertheless, I felt very productive :)  Though I never had a chance to travel last month because of my monster sched, I’m really hoping I could have last-summer getaway this month. Because of all the stress from work and personal issues I felt emotionally and mentally overloaded so I’ve decided to set aside all of those and get out from my box even just  for a while.

What makes me relaxed? Well, nothing can beat mother nature. Fresh air, wild flowers, the sound that birds make and specially the breath-taking blue sky.

This place is one of my favorite. You can just lie your back onto the bricks near the river and surrounded by wild flowers. Let the fresh air fill your inner body and refresh your soul. Promise, I felt more alive and refreshed.

It’s just amazing how simple things around us can make a difference. We just have to learn how to appreciate them.

I really love this shot! Feels like i was in other country :”) I was applying lipstick anyway hehe.

SECOND WAVE OF SUMMER

Hola! I want to share some photos taken during our stay in Villa Igang, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

The sand was not so fine but still beautiful. Talisay leaves everywhere, Falling while I was walking near the shore.

Their hilltop swimming pool.

My favorite shot ;)
